Positive: Not only was L'Auberge de Saugras a traditional French inn that lived up to my dreams, it also had a delicious restaurant and a special cheese plate and charcuterie dish that were available when the restaurant was closed. The breakfast and lunch menus were extraordinary and the chef took exquisite care to make each meal spectacular. I was very impressed and would love to return when the weather allows the use of the pool.

Summary: A wonderful experience I will not forget.

Positive: The food was excellent as was the service - somewhere I will return if in the area. I would check out the bedroom options better next time.

Negative: The bathroom was very basic in my family room. Also nowhere comfy to sit and relax - in summer would be better as there are places outside to sit. As it was a self catering room there was a table and bench to sit at but not relaxing. My bedroom was upstairs from the bathroom which is not ideal as you get older!

Summary: An enjoyable place to stay with very good food and will return.
